Transcription
Speech to text runs on your machine using a local Whisper model. Audio never leaves the device. The free tier is fully offline.
Cloud rewrite (Pro, opt-in)
When the cloud rewrite toggle is enabled on Pro, the rough text leaves your device, never the audio. The text is sent to Anthropic Claude Haiku, which returns the polished version. Anthropic does not train on API data. The toggle is off by default.
Account data
We store the minimum required to bill Pro accounts. Email and Stripe customer reference. No transcripts, no audio, no writing samples are stored on our servers.

Email security@recitey.com. We respond within two business days. We do not pursue good-faith researchers.
